Mustang is a beautiful spot fulfilled by temples & numerous monasteries. Surrounded by northern snowy mountainous, Mustang is the quite fascinating destination for the trekkers & the mountaineers. Although it was open for the tourists in 1990, the tourist arrival here started only in 1992. Speedily blowing gushy air, barren desert, mound, and settlement inside the rocky cave, celestial houses made of local design & Buddhist stupas and houses fluttering with its religious standards are the special peculiarities of Mustang. The visitors are seemed welcoming smilingly by mount Nilgiri & Dhaulagiri. A Traveler's trip hit by its speedily blown cold breeze is always memorable for him. Most of the areas in Mustang have been covered by arid barren dry land. Though the lowest parts like: Gasa, Kolchepani, Marpha etc places are found greenery and cultivatable. The apple of Mustang is very famous Nepal wide. 45 varieties of apples are found in Mustang's horticulture farm Jomsom, Kagbeni fall in a few upper landscapes and the Lomanthang falls in the most upper area. It needs 6 days trek to reach Lomanthang from Mustang. But the interesting is that the roofs of human civilization's developments are found here since the historical era. This place is the main hub of the Buddhist Lama culture. The world renowned Buddhist as well as the Hindu pilgrimage Muktinath is situated at the altitude of 16,000' high. Muktinath has been found as the most sacred pilgrimage since an ancient time immemorial. Though Muktinath can be reached through Kaligandaki riverbank, it can be reached from Pokhara as well. In the same manner it can be reached via Jhomsong, Kagbeni, Ranipauwa and Jharkot.

An ever-unilluminous natural gas lamp keeps burning here forever; which is quite amazing to observe. A huge religious fair takes place here on Teej, Janaipurnima, Ramnawami, and Dasai festival. The Kaligandaki flowing here has become the center of faith to the Hindus and Buddhists of all over the world. In this worldwide renowned river the Saligram (black stone) which symbolizes as the true feature of lord Vishnu are found a lot here. Having difficult rural settlement areas like Samjong, Chhoser, Yari and it's around, there exist many inhabitable caves. Such the ancient caves have been made by engraving in the gigantic rocks. The legend is that ancestors of King Jigme Parbal Bista established the settlement here in 14th century.

Lomanthang is the fort inhabited by 181 houses. Lomanthang has been encircled by 856- meter long wall. This fort was encircled in this way to defend from the frequent attack of the then Jumla state by that time. In Mustang conservation area, very rarely you find the garbage; it is either taken by them or should be thrown in the specified places by paying the declared fee. Since the arrival of tourists many lodges, hotels, guesthouses have been opened here. Because of having diversified geographical situation and unique nature, different varieties of faunas, flora and wildlife are found here. The best season to visit Mustang is September & October. Some travelers take direct flight to Mustang and some of them start from Ghorepani and Beni. Till to date, the horse and mules are only the means of transportation here. Since a few days onward the tractors and the motorbikes also have been found plying in this area. The tractors and the motorcycles area carried out there by the means of the chopper. But these days, there is direct bus to go Mustang from Pokhara.
